On January 24, Asclepius Meditec, together with Taikang Insurance Group, Beijing Taikang Yanyuan Rehabilitation Hospital, and Capital Medical University Sanbo Brain Hospital, grandly hosted the Taikang–Sanbo Active Health Series Event—Academic Exchange Conference on Hydrogen–Oxygen Medicine and Geriatric Health—at Beijing Taikang Yanyuan.

Introduction to Beijing Taikang Yanyuan

Taikang Yanyuan is the first large-scale, full-function, international-standard flagship integrated medical–eldercare community put into operation nationwide by Taikang Insurance Group, and is a “super flagship” among senior living communities. With a large footprint and comprehensive functions, the community offers highly complete, flexible, and diverse supporting facilities, activities, and services, meeting the eldercare needs of residents at different life stages.

The conference invited Academician Li Jian’an, President Li Ning, Professor Li Dinggang, Professor Lv Youyong, and President Wang Baoguo and other leading medical experts to share clinical application outcomes of hydrogen–oxygen medicine across relevant fields, and to engage in live dialogues discussing the outlook of hydrogen–oxygen medicine and geriatric health!

Academician Li Jian’an: Applications of hydrogen–oxygen medicine in rehabilitation

As an International Fellow of the U.S. National Academy of Medicine and President of the Zhongshan Rehabilitation Branch of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital, Academician Li Jian’an delivered remarks via video and shared exploratory research on hydrogen–oxygen inhalation therapy in rehabilitation and sports medicine.

President Li Ning: Mechanistic basis and usage recommendations for hydrogen–oxygen inhalation therapy

“This (hydrogen–oxygen medicine) is an emerging science that requires close communication between physicians and patients, with real-time feedback of patients’ experiences and perceptions, so that standardized practices can be distilled and established,” said President Li Ning, a nationally renowned hepatobiliary transplant expert and doctoral supervisor at Beijing You’an Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University, who shared the mechanistic basis of hydrogen–oxygen inhalation therapy and usage recommendations for post–COVID-19 rehabilitation patients.

Professor Lv Youyong: Clinical value reflections on hydrogen–oxygen medicine

Professor Lv Youyong, Researcher and Director of the Molecular Oncology Laboratory at the Beijing Institute for Cancer Research, Professor and PhD Supervisor at Peking University Cancer Hospital, shared on-site reflections on the biological actions of hydrogen molecules, their clinical value, and risk assessment.

Dr. Wu Fan: Clinical research on hydrogen–oxygen medicine in the perioperative period

Dr. Wu Fan, Associate Chief Physician at Capital Medical University Sanbo Brain Hospital, provided a detailed introduction to the research background, study processes, and conclusion reports regarding perioperative applications of hydrogen–oxygen medicine.

Hydrogen–oxygen patients speak

In addition to numerous leading medical experts, the conference also invited many Taikang Yanyuan residents who use hydrogen–oxygen therapy to interact on-site with medical experts and exchange practical experiences related to hydrogen–oxygen medicine.

As a safe and markedly effective innovative technology, hydrogen–oxygen medicine holds broad application potential in preventive healthcare and in addressing the prevention and management of chronic diseases among older adults; we also hope that more experts, scholars, and patients will jointly advance the development of hydrogen–oxygen medicine for the benefit of humanity!
